Steven Janes, heads up Sherrards’ Business Finance & Investments Unit within the Company Commercial department.
Steven has comprehensive experience in all aspects of corporate/commercial work with a strong specialism in corporate finance & investment work and expertise in handling cross-border situations. Steven is a regular contributor on finance related matters to the expert forum of the legal advice website www.takelegaladvice.com and has been listed in the Lawyer magazine as one of the UK’s Top 100 lawyers.
Prior to joining Sherrards Steven had nearly 20 years experience working for major international law firms including Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Linklaters and Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw and his extensive experience has included spells working in Paris and Hong Kong.
Steven's language skills are equally impressive with fluent French (plus a Diploma in French law) German and conversational Italian and Norwegian.
Four children, two Labradors and "a very supportive wife" fill Steven's leisure hours, but he also finds time to enjoy photography, wine and supporting both Arsenal & Watford Football Clubs.
